The main goal of the Bib is to provide educational opportunities for future professionals to address sustainability challenges in innovative and creative ways. Its objectives include:

• promote the ability of individuals to think holistically and systemically, nurturing the critical thinking necessary to challenge unsustainable worldviews;
• encourage collaborative action, to transform society and build a sustainable and inclusive future;
• promote the development of sustainability skills as part of professional growth by training ethical change agents in various sectors, including education, business, and the social economy.

The activities are designed in an integrated manner, involving Green office of University of Florence and Laboratorio didattico ambientale of Città Metropolitana. Through lectures, workshops and outdoor activities, the participants will understand the role of education and training in cultivating a sustainability-oriented mindset, including values, beliefs and worldviews. In addition, they will be able to anticipate the potential impact of their professional actions within different contexts and communities, as well as imagine alternative futures and formulate strategies and actions for their realisation.

Another aim of the Bip is to foster internationalization which enables it to build a strong network for mobility of students and staff, both from the university of Florence and from partner universities.
